Established in 2005, the Leyla Uluhanli Interiors Studio has gained a reputation for creating flawless interiors. The bureau’s portfolio features projects for elegant interiors of private residences and homes all over the world. From her earliest projects through to her current work, Leyla has preferred to use only bespoke furniture in her interiors, and over time these pieces have become the basis for a large entire interiors collection. The Leyla Uluhanli Collection brand made its dèbut appearance at the Maison & Objet in Paris.
A synthesis of harmony and functionality, all of these furniture pieces are created from natural materials using complex traditional construction methods – such as multiple-layer lacquering, wood-painting, incrustation with semi-precious stones and bronze, and finishings including parchment or galiusha shark-leather. A great deal of attention is devoted to the quality and pattern of the fabrics. The furniture is made in Italy and Portugal, with some elements being produced by Russian craftsmen.
While developing this collection, Leyla was inspired by the swinging 60s and mid-century modern style. Thefurniture is recognisable for its characteristically smooth lines and unobtrusive classical shapes. This retro aesthetic is achieved with a modern look making it easy to feature the furniture in any modern interior.
